Pearly Everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea) reliably thrives in the driest of sites, and is highly valued in gardens for its long bloom time. Host plant for American Lady and Painted Lady butterflies. Leaves and stems are covered in small hairs, giving the foliage a silvery-green appearance that compliments other wildflowers with bolder colours very well. Excellent for dried flower arrangements.
Growing instructions:
Note seeds are very small.
Wet and cold stratification required. Mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed on surface. Do not let seedling dry out while it is establishing.
