Annual Community Garden Giveaway

Each year, Northern Wildflowers Inc. donates a minimum of 1% of our annual sales to groups that support regreening, outdoor classrooms and food security. Our Annual Community Garden Giveaway is part of this effort to give back. 

About The Community Garden Giveaway

Selected projects receive a Garden Seed Kit valued at over $50 to support your community garden project.Open to Canadian community groups and organizations. Garden Seed kits include a variety of vegetable and wildflower varieties.You'll see a list of eligible projects below, however projects that introduce children to and support older adults in gardening are particularly close to our hearts.

Eligible Projects:

  • Community gardens/community food forests/community pollinator gardens
  • Free-of-charge community seed libraries
  • Projects and initiatives that engage children, youth, older adults and/or other vulnerable groups in gardening.
  • These projects might be led by daycares, schools, clubs, nursing homes, hospitals, horticultural societies, shelters, group homes etc.

That's a Wrap! 

In 2025 we were able to donate seed kits to more than 80 eligible projects! These kits are now on their way to community gardens, free seed libraries, classrooms, and care centers across the country.

Thank you to all the incredible grassroots projects that applied! Applications closed November 30th, 2025.
