Our oats are common grade and grown by Ontario farmers.

Oats are particularly well-suited for spring and early summer seeding and naturally winter-kill in most Canadian climates, helping minimize long-term competition with perennial native species. Oats may also be used in fall applications. When seeded in early fall, they typically germinate quickly and provide temporary cover before winter-killing. If seeded during late fall or early winter under dormant seeding conditions after soils have cooled significantly, germination may be delayed until spring or reduced depending on winter conditions.

Oats perform best in full sun and are adaptable to a wide range of soil types, including loam, sandy loam, and moderately clay soils. They prefer moist to moderately moist conditions but are relatively tolerant of varying moisture levels during establishment.

Recommended application rate when used as a nurse crop:

250g/ 1,000ft, 21 KG/ 5,000ft, 29 KG/ acre, 22 KG/ha

This is our first year using your seeds and we love them!

Locally produced, women owned, supporting other local causes, and promoting native pollinators and plants are all cherry on top reasons why I’ll be purchasing more in future seasons!

Thank you - you do a great job.

I have lots of healthy Anise Hyssop seedlings. I think every seed germinated and they are thriving, I have enough to sell at our hospital charity fundraiser and share with friends.
