Doellingeria umbellata

A cheerful, early bloomer of the Aster family, flowering as early as July. Flat clusters of small flowers with white petals and yellow centers. Excellent nectar source for bees and hosts the caterpillars of the Pearly Crescent and Harris Checkerspot butterflies. Grows best in moist areas.
