Elymus riparius

Riverbank Wild Rye (Elymus riparius) does best along rivers and in riparian habitats but it does survive in wet meadows and prairies. This is a cool-season plant that will only actively grow in the spring and fall when the soil is cooler. This variety is frequently used in streambank restoration as it helps control erosion. The seeds do well with self-seeding and can establish more populations along the riverbank. This plant is a great food and nesting material for songbirds and waterfowl and is deer resistant.

This is our first year using your seeds and we love them!

Locally produced, women owned, supporting other local causes, and promoting native pollinators and plants are all cherry on top reasons why I’ll be purchasing more in future seasons!

Thank you - you do a great job.

I have lots of healthy Anise Hyssop seedlings. I think every seed germinated and they are thriving, I have enough to sell at our hospital charity fundraiser and share with friends.
