Asclepias speciosa

A host plant of the monarch butterfly and an important nectar source for bees and butterflies. Native to the western portion of Canada and the United States, this species spreads less aggressively than it's cousin Common Milkweed. The blooms are incredibly fragrant. Common milkweed sap is toxic, so growing it in areas where livestock graze should be discouraged. Alternatives are swamp or butterfly milkweed, which are less toxic.

This is our first year using your seeds and we love them!

Locally produced, women owned, supporting other local causes, and promoting native pollinators and plants are all cherry on top reasons why I’ll be purchasing more in future seasons!

Thank you - you do a great job.

I have lots of healthy Anise Hyssop seedlings. I think every seed germinated and they are thriving, I have enough to sell at our hospital charity fundraiser and share with friends.
