Can grow anywhere from 3-10 feet tall and produces countless flowers throughout the late summer and fall. Maximilian's sunflower is palatable to livestock and can be incorporated into grazing areas. This native produces a heavy crop of seed annually, which provides an important food source for birds and small mammals.
