This rarely offered iceberg lettuce offers a gorgeous 16” wide, red-tipped leaf lettuce with a fairly tight head that holds for a long time. It is a great alternative to the plain green iceberg, having the same delicious, sweet taste and crisp texture. It also has a much greater nutritional value than other icebergs.
Growing Instructions
Sow direct seed 1” apart and ¼” in depth. Germination period is 7-14 days. Sow continuously for a constant supply of lettuce. Best grown in cooler weather. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Lettuce should kept moist, as lettuce leaves are mostly water and will desiccate and wilt in strong sunlight and dry soil.
