Also known as Speckled Trout Back, this variety is a gorgeous Australian lettuce that produces green leaves speckled with maroon. Heads can produce leaves that grow to about 8” long, that gives a superior flavor and a fresh crisp. A perfect addition for salads and sandwiches. Plant also holds very well in the summer heat.

Growing Instructions

Sow direct seed 1” apart and ¼” in depth. Germination period is 7-14 days. Sow continuously for a constant supply of lettuce. Best grown in cooler weather. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Lettuce should be kept moist, since lettuce leaves are mostly water and will desiccate and wilt in strong sunlight and dry soil.
