Eggplant, Listada de Gandia (organic)

This variety is likely to have originated in Spain (as its name translates to “Grown in Spain”). The small 14" plants produce heavy yields of high-quality, 8" oval white fruits with purple stripes and mild white flesh. The plant truly produces sweet, tender, thin-skinned vegetables that make an amazing addition to soups, stews, and roasts. This variety thrives in very hot weather.

Growing Instructions

Start seeds indoors at ¼“ depth 8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors once danger of frost has passed and soil is warm, in-row and between row at 18-24” apart in full sun. Using landscape fabric or black plastic can accelerate growth and productivity in cooler climates. Eggplant requires consistent moisture.
