Vines can grow 5-8 feet
Approx. 25 seeds per pack
This variety gives you a thick, tasty, foot long cucumber! It grows 2 ½ inches in diameter and contains a crunchy dark-green skin and light green, juicy flesh. It makes an excellent addiction to salads, veggie trays or just snacking. Preferred by market growers as a “straight pack” sort for shipment to high grade markets and has been used by innumerable breeders to impart similar ideal length, dark green color, and excellent flavor.
Direct seed: Sow seeds outdoors at 1" depth, in 12" diameter hills after the last frost when soil is warm. Space hills 6' apart in all directions. 3-4 plants per hill.
Transplant (recommended for shorter growing seasons): Start indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost for an earlier harvest. Harden off. Transplant in rows 16-18" apart, 18-24" between rows, or use hilling method above.
Performs especially well in hot climates and benefits from consistent moisture. Provide support for vines to save space.
