Mature in 50 days
Approx. 100 seeds per pack
Originating from the historic fishing town of Chioggia, Italy, this variety adds a beautiful pop to both gardens and meals. Slice the roots open to reveal concentric rings of pink and white. Perfect for fresh eating, salads, or pickling! When roasted, it retains its markings when left whole and sliced when cooked, just before serving.
Sow seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 2” apart at 1/2” depth and in rows 20-24” apart in full sun. Germination in 5-10 days. For continuous harvest, seeds can be planted in two-week intervals.
