A beet variety from Holland. This smooth, round heirloom beet is completely unlike the traditional earthy beet, it’s the sweetest of all table beets and has a delicious flavor. The raw roots sliced thin are perfect for snacking or salads, but they are also great for cooking. For best color and to avoid green tops, blanch roots by hilling up with soil. All parts of the beet plant are edible.

Growing Instructions

Sow seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 2” apart and 1/2” depth in rows 20-24” apart in full sun. Germination in 5-10 days. Thin to 4-6" apart. For continuous harvest, seeds can be planted in two-week intervals.
